Once the Radon chimney is in place and the proper lift of Radon crush is put on top of the pipe we install a Radon membrane to seal the surface. After the entire area is poured with concrete the perimeter joint is sealed with special trim the excess membrane is trimmed and sealed with special high quality caulking. This encapsulates the area and prevents any Radon gas from escaping into the crawlspace.

The foundation used a grade beam instead of a full foundation wall. This allowed water to flow into the crawlspace, washing away the backfill and causing the mud slab to collapse. After installing the proper drainage and repairing the crawlspace to the structural and geotechnical consultants’ specifications, we filled the opening in the foundation wall and repaired the deficient exterior drainage system. This project was successfully completed without any unforeseen issues because we planned and coordinated the operations with care and precision. This is what Back to Square Foundation Repair delivers.
